CNIO Announces Four New Research Positions Funded by “CNIO Friends”

Help us to eliminate cancer

Donations to the CNIO Friends philanthropic initiative fund research positions in cancer research. Over the past decade, the programme has helped attract and retain young scientific talent in Spain.

The new call will fund four three-year postdoctoral positions across all areas of cancer research.

The deadline for applications is 10 October 2026.

Through the CNIO Friends initiative, the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) invites individuals who wish to support cancer research at a leading international research centre to contribute to its mission. Donations to the programme are used to support the recruitment of early-career researchers. Over the past decade, more than 40 young researchers have been able to pursue part of their scientific careers at CNIO thanks to this support.

The Friends of CNIO programme has now launched a new call to fund four postdoctoral positions. Each position will be funded for three years and is open to candidates working in any area of cancer research.

The application deadline is 10 October 2026.

Applicants must identify the CNIO research group they wish to join and, before submitting their application, must have agreed on a project proposal in advance with the Principal Investigator (PI) or Group Leader of the selected group.

The application must include, among other documents, a letter of support from the relevant PI and a written project proposal of no more than one page, as specified in the 2026 Call Guidelines.
