In the Computational Oncology Group, we tackle some of the deadliest cancers by targeting the causes of chromosomal instability (CIN). Our goal is to transform complex, chaotic genomic data into actionable clinical targets to improve patient outcomes.

Our main research areas include:

  • Predicting therapy response using CIN signatures in patient biopsies.
  • Developing AI-enabled computational pipelines for neoantigen prediction.
  • Using single-cell sequencing for ultrasensitive CIN detection.
  • Modelling tumour evolution to enable early cancer interception.

We aim to apply these technologies at the earliest stages of tumour development in patients with premalignant lesions, with the goal of preventing aggressive, difficult-to-treat cancers. By integrating AI with high-resolution genomics, we are bridging the gap between evolutionary theory and clinical practice.
