The Framework Program is the main Community initiative to promote and support R+D+ I in the European Union. The current Horizon 2020 Program (H2020) offers a significant amount of funding for different research instruments. Some examples are: the scientific excellence projects of the European Research Council (ERC), coordinated projects focused on the European strategic objectives “Challenges of the Society”, the Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Actions to promote the mobility of researchers, the “Science with and for Society” programme to promote social awareness and divulgation, the Euratom Programme, among others.

The CNIO actively participates in all these programs and has participated in numerous successful projects.
