The CNIO is recognised as a high-level international research centre. Many of its projects are funded by public international entities and institutions such as the European Commission through its Framework Programmes (H2020 and Horizon Europe), the National Institute of Health (NIH) or the Department. of Defense (DoD) of the United States, and private associations and foundations. Some of those projects are carried out in collaboration with other research centres, universities and companies of recognized prestige worldwide.
