Tamara Mondejar

Tamara Mondéjar was born in 1981, Cuenca, Spain. He finished her degree in Biology at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) in 2005, obtaining Genetics and Biotechnology as a particular fields. While she was studying her degree, she did a residence at the Nuclear Matrix Laboratory in the Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas (CIB-CSIC), working with splicing proteins U2B2 and Sm.
Her first job in a laboratory was doing food microbiological analysis. After that and as a technician, she worked at the Anatomy Department in the Faculty of Medicine (UCM), studying tissues from embryonic transgenic mice. In the Ramon y Cajal Hospital, at the Research Department, she studied transgenic mice brain´s abnormalities by inmunohistochemistry. She has been working lately for a biotechnology company, TCD-Pharma at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (CNB-CSIC), testing new compounds as antitumoral drugs using enzymatic activities, antiproliferative activities and “in vivo” assays.
She has moved to the Breast Cancer Clinical Investigation Unit at the CNIO, in may of 2010.
