Rosa Serrano finished in 1994 her Professional Development Studies as a Research Technician. In 1997, she was awarded a Fellowship in Techniques in Biomedical Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where she worked in the Animal Facility.
She then moved to Marseille to work as a Laboratory Technician for the Department of Human Sample Anatomy Pathology.
Rosa Serrano returned to Madrid to join the lab of Dr. Maria A. Blasco first at Centro Nacional de Biotecnología and, since 2003, at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) where she manages the numerous and varied colonies of genetically engineered mice of the Blasco lab.
