[In Spanish] Gemma Robles, Deputy Director of El Periódico de Catalunya, has given the talk on ‘Press, science and the debt with Matilda’, in the seminars organized by the CNIO Women in Science Office (WISE), on February 9, 2021, by Zoom.
Gemma Robles has spoken about her professional career, the doubts she faced when offered positions of greater responsibility, as well as the gender biases that exist in the newspaper sector, very similar to those in science. It has become clear that the ‘Matilda effect’, which refers to discrimination against women in science, can be extended to many more sectors than science.
