CNIO will be joining other “Severo Ochoa” Centres of Excellence, Public Research Organisations, the FECYT and the National Museum of Science and Technology (MUNCYT), to hold an information stand that provides information related to scientific and technical research, development and innovation
AULA is the most important annual educational and training event of the year in Spain as well as the only one promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport
The Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) -in keeping with its commitment to education and knowledge transfer- will take part in the celebration of the 21st edition of the AULA international student and education show. The event will take place from the thirteenth to the seventeenth of February at IFEMA and is the most important educational and training event of the year in Spain, and the only one promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
In a single 100 m2 stand, AULA will bring together the “Severo Ochoa” Centres of Excellence (with CNIO among them), the Spanish Foundation for Science & Technology (FECYT) -one of the coordinators of the exhibition’s official organisations-, the Public Research Organisations (OPI), and the National Museum of Science and Technology (MUNCYT), with the purpose of providing visitors with information and guidance in relation to scientific and technical research, development and innovation.
Furthermore, an interactive area has been set up at the stand in which a variety of visitor activities will take place. These activities include talks about CNIO’s research activities and training programmes, a microscope workshop to teach the youngest visitors about some of the tools that scientists at the Centre use to study cancer, or the showing of a video titled “A Day in the Life of the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre”, in which CNIO pre-doctoral (CNIOSA) and post-doctoral (CNIO-PDA) researchers talk about their day-to-day efforts and how they work to produce new discoveries.
All visitors to the stand will be able to meet researchers from different fields of knowledge, to chat with them and to ask them any questions they might have about professional career options.
