CNIO researcher David Olmos is honoured with the ‘Juan Letona’ award for Traslational Medicine

The event took place during the IX edition of Fundación de Madrid Awards ceremony

The head of the Prostate Cancer and Genitourinary Tumours Clinical Research Unit at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), David Olmos, has been awarded the Juan Letona Prize, organised by the Hospital de Madrid Foundation. The award recognises the research published last year by Olmos in the journal The Lancet Oncology, which was titled Prognostic value of blood mRNA expression signatures in castration?resistant prostate cancer: a prospective, two?stage study (http://bit.ly/11ZPmH0).

The award ceremony was held at the Reina Sofía Auditorium of HM Universitario Sanchinarro this week, and was attended by the General Director of HM Hospitales, Juan Abarca Cidón; the President of the Hospital de Madrid, Alfonso Moreno González; and the Counselor of Health for the Community of Madrid, Javier Fernández-Lasquetty.
