The exhibition CNIO Arte: Dialogues between art and science is an initiative of the CNIO (Spanish National Cancer Research Centre), with the support of the Instituto Cervantes and the Fundación Banco Santander, which is part of the CNIO Arte project that originated at the CNIO five years ago, bringing together leading international scientists and artists to explore the common ground between art and scientific research.

In the CNIO Arte New York exhibition, works from all CNIO Arte editions will be on display at the Instituto Cervantes in New York from 2nd February to 15th April 2023. The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place on 2nd February and will be attended by María Blasco, Director of the CNIO and Executive Director of CNIO Arte, as well as representatives of the Instituto Cervantes and the Fundación Banco Santander. The presentation will be followed by a round table discussion with the telematic presence of the exhibition curator, Amparo Garrido, María Blasco, Executive Director of CNIO Arte, and representatives of the Instituto Cervantes and the Banco Santander Foundation, as well as the scientist-artist couple formed by the paleoanthropologist Juan Luis Arsuaga and the artist Carmen Calvo.
