The first edition of the Symposium Arte y Ciencia, held on February 20th 2020 at the CNIO’s auditorium, was directed by Carlos Jiménez, Aesthetics Professor Emeritus, Historian and Art Critic. This year’s theme was ‘The relationship between art and archaeology’, in line with the dialogue created by the protagonists of this edition: Carmen Calvo and Juan Luis Arsuaga.

At this year’s Symposium participated three art theorists, Fernando Castro Flórez, Aurora Fernández Polanco and Carlos Jiménez, and two visual artists, Bleda and Rosa. They shared their vision over this Symposium theme in a public event.
